Quiet adventure games for winding down
Not every night needs adrenaline. Some evenings I just want to wander somewhere and slowly figure it out. That's what atmospheric adventures are for.
Hollowreach is my current pick. No combat, no timers, just a moody valley and puzzles that make sense. With headphones on it's genuinely relaxing.
The trick with these games is to not rush. Let the sound and pacing do their work. Solving a riddle feels better when you sat with it a while.
Because they're offline and short, they're easy to finish over a week of bedtimes. A small, complete experience beats an endless grind.
